The Division of Pediatric Genetics at the University of Utah School of Medicine is seeking a Pediatric Geneticist to join the faculty, providing exceptional medical care to patients with genetic and metabolic disorders throughout patient clinics and on-call inpatient service. Clinical activities will be carried out at Primary Children's Medical Center and the University of Utah. There is an expectation that academic work, including teaching and research, will be a priority. Specifically, the candidate is expected to pursue laboratory or clinical research in the area of medical genetics leading to peer-reviewed publications and extramural funding. Preference will be given to candidates with active extramural funding.

Candidates must be BE/BC in Medical Genetics, with excellent clinical skills and established laboratory research experience.

University of Florida College of Medicine Pediatric Rheumatologist

The University of Florida, College of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics in the Division of Immunology, Rheumatology and Infectious Disease is seeking a non-tenure/tenure track Assistant/Associate Full Professor with expertise in the area of Rheumatology. Qualified applicants would be joining two pediatric rheumatologists who will be responsible for the clinical care of children all over the State of Florida as well as South Georgia.

Candidates should have an M.D. degree and be board certified/eligible in Pediatric Rheumatology. Responsibilities include patient care, teaching, and research with effort in each area to be determined by the applicant's strengths and interests. Individuals with a previous record of funded research interest in pursuing clinical or translational investigation are encouraged to apply.

Associate Professor

The Division of Pediatric Neurology at the University of Florida is seeks a full-time non-tenure accruing faculty member at the rank of Assistant Professor. The individual selected must have a strong interest in building an academically oriented practice. Providing in-patient services to patients admitted to the Pediatric Neurology service as well as the General Attending service on a rotational basis with the other divisional faculty. Responsibilities will also include the role of attending physician in the Pediatric Neurology Out-patience Clinics and the Neurology procedural services on a rotational basis with other divisional faculty members. Teaching of house-staff, fellows and medical students assigned to Pediatric Neurology's in/out-patient service, developing a research program or work in collaboration with other researchers in an area of interest.

Associate or Full Professor

The University of Hawai`i at Manoa's John A. Burns School of Medicine (JABSOM) is recruiting for an associate or full professor with the potential to serve as the Chair of the Department of Pediatrics, dependent upon the Dean's approval. This faculty position is a full-time, tenure-track position (position #84058). We are looking for an innovative and dynamic leader with exceptional administrative and organizational skills and a commitment to academic medicine including medical education, clinical care, and research. The Chair of the Department of Pediatrics for the John A. Burns School of Medicine is charged with the growth and development of clinical, research, and teaching excellence of the department. The Chair of Pediatrics is responsible for overall management of the department, which include direct oversight of the financial and human resources of the department, as well as ensuring that cutting edge research is conducted and that the highest quality of clinical service is delivered. The Chair is also expected to create the vision and to be an advocate for the health care needs of children while developing community relationships that optimize the delivery of pediatric services. The Department of Pediatrics is currently comprised of approximately 76 faculty in the following specialties: adolescent medicine, allergy and immunology, cardiology, community pediatrics, child protection, child psychiatry, critical care, developmental pediatrics, emergency medicine, gastroenterology, genetics, hematology/oncology, hospitalist service, infectious diseases, medical education, neonatology, nephrology, rheumatology, sports medicine, and pediatric surgery. Clinical services are delivered mostly at Kapi`olani Medical Center for Woman and Children (KMCWC) but also at Queens Medical Center and a series of community clinics and health centers. The Division of Pediatric Infectious Diseases in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Utah School of Medicine is seeking a Pediatric Infectious Disease Physician to join our clinical team. The successful candidate will receive a faculty appointment in the Department of Pediatrics. The Division has a very active clinical program at Primary Children's Medical Center, a 270 bed hospital with Level 3C NICU, PICU, and transplantation programs for hematopoietic stem cells and solid organs. The candidate will attend on the inpatient consult service and in the Pediatric Infectious Disease clinic. The candidate will participate in the education and supervision of pediatric residents, Pediatric Infectious Disease fellows and medical students.

The Division has active research programs and collaborations with interests ranging from infectious disease epidemiology, respiratory infections, molecular diagnostics and antimicrobial stewardship. The University of Utah has research strengths in a number of areas, including medical informatics and genomics. The successful candidate will establish a successful research program in collaboration with other members of the Department of Pediatrics.

Candidates must be BC/BE in Pediatrics and Pediatric Infectious Disease, with excellent clinical skills. Additional skills in clinical microbiology, infectious disease diagnostics, and outcomes research are highly desirable.

SPECIALIST IN PULMONARY PEDIATRICS

The Department of Pediatrics at the University of California, Davis, is seeking a full-time academic Pediatric Pulmonologist. The UC Davis Children's Hospital, in Sacramento, provides a full complement of services throughout Northern California. The recruited candidate will join two full-time Pediatric Pulmonologists in providing subspecialty care in an expanding clinical and academic program, including busy NICU and PICU services, a Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Accredited Care Center, and outpatient clinics.

This position is open at the Assistant or Associate Professor level (commensurate with credentials) in either the Clinical Pediatrics or Health Sciences Clinical Professor Series. Proven excellence in clinical care and teaching is required. Opportunities for research are available depending on the series, experience and qualification of the candidate.

Minimum qualifications include an M.D. degree, BC/BE in Pediatrics and Pediatric Pulmonology and eligibility for license in the State of California.Applicants should have the ability to work cooperatively and collegially within the diverse environment of UC Davis.
