As noted in the section, Format of Meeting, a program for New Chairs is held every three years, in conjunction with the annual AMSPDC meeting. A member of AMSPDC is asked to head a committee of three or four and they develop an outline of what is to be presented and what is thought to be most helpful and informative for new members when assuming the role of Chair. Dr. Alan Cohen will chair the committee for the 2008 program. Abbott Nutrition has provided an educational grant to help underwrite this educational effort. What follows is the outline for the program held this year. The next program for New Chairs will be held in conjunction with the 2011 annual meeting.
